Why does Obama talk about more money for sex education to help reduce unwanted pregnancy’s ?
Tuesday, July 6th, 2010We put enough money into our education system. It doesn’t cost a lot of money to tell girls that when you have sex you get pregnant. If you don’t have sex you will never get pregnant. And if they can not put that together they can be told that if you wait to have sex until you are ready and want to have a baby you shouldn’t run into any problems. We need to teach girls don’t focus on not having a baby but focus more on not being a slut.

You should never have sex.

Consider yourself educated.

Or to use birth control instead of aborting the fetus.

Unions want the cash. In NY State the Teachers union takes over 90% of the budget and then go to court for more funding (“For the Children”).

Oh my arent you a sensitive man. Please do not go into sex education. You seem to have a low opinion of women. What do you call young men that have sex?

“We put enough money into our education system.”
We do? So, let me get this straight…we are far behind many other countries in terms of education because we put ENOUGH money into education?
Would you like to think about that for awhile and get back to us?

Thank God you have no say in anything. Education needs a lot more money if we want to compete in the future world.
You are the best evidence that the education system in the USA is failing. The way you argue is embarrassing.

You’re right. I mean, aside from the fact that it doesn’t work, you’re right. In fact, it doesn’t work at all. Abstinence-only education has been proven to be worse than nothing, but I guess if it’s the “right” thing to do, it doesn’t matter whether it works or not.

We’re all human and we all have urges, especially when we’re younger. Teaching teens abstinence isn’t taking care of the problem, just avoiding it. As for the slut thing, you make it out like guys aren’t always after sex. I know how men are, I’ve been on this planet long enough.
Why is it that if a man has many partners he’s a stud, but if a woman has just as many she’s a slut?

Because we need to counter act all the stupid parents that refuse to believe that their “little darlings” would possibly have sex before they are married.
It doesn’t matter WHAT your personal opinion is on a girl that has sex, it doesn’t prevent an unwanted pregnancy one little bit.
In this case Palin is the perfect example of how effective the conservative method is. Not only is her underage daughter pregnant but she herself has a child when she is clearly past her prime regardless of how she looks she is still over 40 years old. The result of her inability to use birth control resulted in a child with downs … and that’s lucky considering all the other things that could have gone wrong with having a child at that age.
The thing we need to focus on here is family PLANNING, and not just for teen aged girls, but married couples as well. People SHOULD delay having children until they are ready to have them including newlyweds. I was fortunate to have a mother who was smart enough to teach me to be responsible so that when I got married I used birth control until my husband had a good job and we bought a house.

Well unfortunately parent (including ding dong Palin) don’t talk realistically to their children about sex so it may help to increase a budget for sex education as there is very little taught in schools. If people learned somewhere what causes unwanted pregnancies and how to prevent them, perhaps we would not have to support abortion as they won’t be necessary. Also, REALLY some states have so little money dedicated to education as that seems to be the first budget cut especially in California, so I think any money put towards education is smart. BUT that is just my opinion.
Good luck!
