I wish I could help, but you didn’t tell us where you are. If I say Sparkport pharmacies in Durban offer free insulins, is that going to be of any help to you?

I think you might have Type I diabetes, if you’re insulin dependent

Talk to your doc about free programs. and yes it is possible to be Type 2 diabetic and be insulin dependent. I was in a program that sent my meds thru the doc office. I no longer need this program now that i have medicare but your doc should be able to assist you with this.

I first got started with free Insulin thru my Doctors office, there was an Insulin study that I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in….I got it free for 6 months, I also got a free glucometer and all the supplies I needed for the meter and the Insulin….check with your Doctor, that might be your best avenue….Good luck to you!!!

He is Type 2 insulin dependent and so am I. If you are born with or get it under the age of 18 you are considered Type 1.
As for your question it depends where you live. I live in the Boston area and we have Freecare as well as MassHealth and all of your diabetic supplies and medication are free.
So I would do a search in your area or call the local clinics to see if they have a program. Also for more Diabetic info please to http://www.joslin.org
