Is Pooping All Over The House A Side Effect Of My Cat's Diabetes?
Monday, February 8th, 2010My cat has diabetes and we give him insulin. Except he poops continually all over the basement. We’ve tried using new litter, everything you could think of. My mom says it’s just from the diabetes, but he just started doing it 2 months ago and has had diabetes probably his whole 10 year kitty life. Is it from the diabetes?

Give him 2 or three litter boxes to choose from. Our old cat used to pee so much from her diabetes that she didnt like to poop in the same box because it was so wet (even if she only peed in it once). If he just started pooping in the basement 2 months ago, it’s not from his diabetes!!
Put a couple of litterboxes downstairs and put a poop or two in the new litterbox so his scent is there.
