Girl, just GO!!! I know it’s easier said than done – BELIEVE ME, I know – and I work at an office 8 hours a day as well. However, I will not allow myself to go to bed without working out at least for 30 minutes, and most of the time, I end up working out for 45 minutes due to the energy boost it gives me. You have to force yourself to go, and also set a really low goal for yourself, like walking on the treadmill for 15 minutes. I promise, once you get there and get done with that short 15 minute walk, you’ll say to yourself “Hmmm….that wasn’t hard. I guess I’ll go for 10 more minute.” You get my point? Start it out easy, and eventually you’ll get to the point that if you miss a day of working out, it will get to you.
Good luck and STICK WITH IT! I promise you’ll love the results!

The best way to be sure to exercise is to do one of two things. First, you have to get a routine going where it becomes just something you do without thinking. This is not very fun, but it’s like taking your medicine – something you have to do. Force of will will propel you once you remove the option of failing to go from your mind. Second, you can find an exercise program you enjoy doing. Then it will be fun as well. In this case, your enjoyment of the activity will lead you to go.
I wish you well with your exercises. I have recently started back to the gym because I decided I didn’t want to become an old man before my time. I think I know pretty much how you feel, because it is tough, but I refuse to let myself fail. I think eventually you’ll get to the same point.

Try and find a friend who is a similar weight to yourself. Make an agreement with her/him to go to the gym on specified days. Have a plan set out. Whoever doesn’t turn up on the specified date, puts say $5.00 in a kitty. If this kitty builds up, the other person has $$$’s to spend on clothes at the end. It’s always more fun exercising with a pal. Good Luck!

I feel the same way! I had a membership and I wasted it. You should just save the money, cancel the membership and take walks. Walking and Running are so good for you and you can do it anywhere, it doesn’t cost any money. I got rid of mine a while ago cause I wasn’t going… and I didn’t do anything. Monday I set a goal to lose 20 lbs by New years, and I am going to start walking.
Also, I noticed I feel a lot better if I don’t eat til I’m full while I am at work, it makes me sluggish. All I want to do when I get home is lay down.
I hope something here helps. Good luck

Go exersise with friends and family and they can help motivate you. Eat lots of healthy food at your job and bring your own lunch to work so that you don’t buy junk food. While you’re at your computer, you could do leg exersises. Also, if you want to go exersise, do it in the morning so you are more awake for work, rather than staying up late at night.

i have a job where i sit at the computer all day too, i dont kno how i get tired after basically sitting and resting all day but i really do. i usually try and exercise 1st thing in the morning that way i get it done before i get all lazy from the work day and i dont feel like doing anything. And as for the gym membership, i say if you paying them to work out at the gym then you need to go, otherwise thats just free money for the gym. i guess since you dont go you must have money to give away like that but i kno i dont.
